Great work. I love the mind expanding qualities though I would think Yggdrasil to be of a dark dominion, but that is just my association with the grim lore it is based upon. Anyway this is beautiful.

Yes, it's quite darkish as well... but I see it more as the roots of the Yggdrasil's tree, letting a plural way of growing possibilities above in all its worlds...

Most important tip for scanning is to keep resolution as high as you can, I normally scan drawings at 600 dpi, which is enough I think. Always work above 300 dpi, never under when scanning.
Therefore, it depends on what kind of digital work you want to do, if you want to do painting, I recommend you to use Corel Painter.
When it comes to digital painting, it is a must to use a tablet.
