Bacchus stood boredly, tied up to the board fencing which surrounded one of the fighting rings. This place was a dump. They had never been to this particular Pit before, and now they knew why; it was located in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere, full of Amateur fighters like himself, which wasn't all bad, but with the lack of Boxers and Luctators, where was the challenge? Large floodlights on the ceiling beamed down on him, and he felt the heat of them on his back. He shifted his weight to his other side, sighing. The sound of another horse's hooves approaching caused him to turn his head. It was Alcatraz, being led by his handler. Alcatraz's nostrils were still red and his manes still twitched from his fight, and he reared and snapped at his handler, who quickly tied him to the rail and left.
Alcatraz smacked his lips, thick blood gooping and dripping from his lips. A cut located on his lip was probably not the only source of the blood. "How goes it, stablemate?" he purred, his voice silk, het hinted with a tone of... crazy. Yes, that was it. Ignoring his question, Bacchus blinked boredly. "Did you kill him?" He asked in a commanding tone. Alcatraz pinned his ears and stomped. "Nearly. Blasted referee pulled me out before I could deliver the blow. And she was quite a fighter, for a forest mare." He chuckled, reminiscing. He had broken off one of the mare's horns. The thought of it sent a shiver of glee up his spine. Alcatraz turned to Bacchus, grinning. Horses raged in battle all around them, but they seemed to ignore the noise and rage as if it were commonplace. Bacchus rolled his eyes away from his comrade to the horses fighting before them. "You're disgusting."
