Hey,this is a rather romantic pic of Severs Snape and Lily Evans...I don't think they're going to kiss but he wants to...
I must say, I came to love Snape because of his memories...the chapter "The Prince's Tale" was sooo great, I cried the whole time and I was so sad when he died...
I think there's one fact missing: Why did Lily actually chose James? I mean, I don't want her to marry Severus either, it woulnd't have worked but....James? Why him? I think this detail is missing troughout the story!
Do you think so, too?

Schwein gehabt, wenn es um ausschweifende Diskussionen zu Büchern geht stoße ich im Englischen schnell an meine Grenzen xD
Also was ich sagen wollte: Ich stimme dir voll und ganz zu, das ist etwas worüber ich mich stundenlang aufregen könnte. Ich habe viele Potter-Fans in meiner Umgebung aber NIEMAND scheint zu verstehen warum mich das so ärgert! Das schlimme daran ist meiner Meinung nach, dass alles in den Büchern bis ins kleinste Detail zusammen passt, und dann ist da dieses kleine Puzzleteilchen das irgendwie nicht richtig passen will...
Ich denke Myrrha hat schon recht mit dem was sie da schreibt, aber es ist schon ein seeehr großer Sprung von "Ich würde lieber mit dem Riesenkraken ausgehen" zu "okay, komm, lass uns heiraten und eine Familie gründen".
Da muss eigentlich schon mehrdahinter stecken als einfach nur die Tatsache, dass James erwachsen geworden ist O_o

Ich stimme dir zu, danke für diese Analyse! Ich selbst habe sogar mal eine Fanfiction geschrieben, wie Lily mitansehen muss, wie Snape Sectumsempra an jüngeren Schülern benutzt und langsam immer mehr Bücher über Schwarze Magie etc. bei ihm findet und sich so einfach immer mehr abgrenzt. Nach der Schlammblut-Sache ja sowieso. Und dass James ihr gegenüber eingesteht, wie dumm er war und sie letztendlich jemanden sucht, dem sie sich anvertrauen kann und das ist dann sofort James. Und als sie dann später gemeinsam gegen Voldemort kämpfen und sie sieht, dass Snape das Schwarze Mal trägt, was sie immer dachte, dass sie es hätte doch noch verhindern können, gibt sie die Hoffnung vollends auf. Naja...das ist wenigstens meine Version^^

About James, I would say that he is a great man, with all the qualities a Gryffindor could have, and even if he was stupid and a bully when he was young, he changed during his seventh year. He did what Snape never did for Lily : he changed, becoming more mature and less swanky. Well, he is someone you can trust, someone who can be counted on, someone who had the courage to fight against Voldemort, like her. And he's always loved Lily so much. I think it's not very difficult to understand, even if we don't have many clues about their relationship.

Snape called Lilly a Mudblood and she didn't already like the fact that he was hanging out with Death Eaters. That was the final straw for her. It's in the chapter, they didn't show that part in the movie, though. It made ma mad.

that's right! But that's NOT the reason why she'd marry James Potter! She didn't like him, that's what she said to Severus in the same memory. I know, it would never have worked between Lily and Severus, I've already written that in the description but I don't think that she and James are a better couple!
But I agree with you that they didn't show enough from this chapter in the movie!

hm du hast eigentlich schon recht... es gibt überhaupt mehrere stellen in den büchern bei der es sich rowling ein bisschen einfach gemacht hat...es hat mich ja immer soo aufgeregt das tonks und lupins tod gerade mal mit einem satz im buch erwähnt war!
aber ich denke schon dass es zwischen lily und snape geklappt haben könnte wäre james nicht gewesen....schau dir snapes patronus an..
