I really like nowe you composed this picture, with a good sense of space, the colors are pretty too.

I only have two main criticisms to do.

- Why are the flowers on the foreground transparent? You could perhaps put a white or a pale gray layer just behind them, to restitute their natural opacity.

- You cropped the model very quickly and without the attention it needs. We can clearly see the old grey background, especially under the arms... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/f… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Sad)"/>

If you work a bit more on these 2 things, I think your picture will be much better. Good luck for the contest. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Hi!

You've asked for an official critique, so I'm going to give you one. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

I don't have much negative things to say. I love your setting, and the nymph looks placed on that cliff very realistically. I also like the strong sense of atmospheric perspective. There is definitely a near foreground, middle ground and furthest background that creates depth and space.

I do see two problems. The second level of flowers are transparent. If you were trying to get them lighter than the ones in the nearest foreground, using a lightening or darkening tool (sorry, don't know which paint program you use to tell you exactly what to use) over them would get that effect.

Next, there is a grey line around your nymph. It looks on purpose, but the grey takes away from her beauty. Perhaps you intended that to be light surround her? If so, you can go in and change it to bright white or bright yellow. Whichever looks best.

Other wise, you did a great job and over all I like it. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Thank you for the critique and your kind words. I am in the process now of uploading the edit based on your feedback and Montvalent's as well - you both made the same points and they were very good ones.

Thanks for entering the contest

Good choice of stock, I like where the nymph is placed. You may want to take light source into consideration when putting together a manipulation. It looks like the background, model and foreground all have different light sources. I can see that you are trying to make a sense of space; however the way the grass behind the flowers covers certain areas of the waterfall (especially behind the topmost flower) marr you from achieving this, in my opinion.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I am not sure what I can do, at this point, about the varying light sources, but later I will try removing some more of the grass behind the flowers and post an edit.
