Another shot of lightning from the same storm as The Power of Nature . This shot was actually exposed correctly which allowed me to work with it a little more.Exposure time: 52.4 sec

(I was kind of stupid that night though, out in the middle of a field with lighting going off all around...it was fun

In such photos, do you keep shutter open even before it strikes? Just in case? And as soon as it strikes you would close the shutter?

Oh yes definitely. I tried timing it right a couple of times and I always end up missing the lightning. When it was as dark as it was this night, I was able to leave the shutter open as long as I needed to until the lightning came

Almost over? But Summer's only started!
Almost got trapped in a tornado? I've never even come close to seeing one. Did you get any pictures of it? Or were you too busy trying to get away from it?
