Ai Enma from the Hell Girl anime (aka. Jigoku Shōjo: Girl from Hell)

She is perhaps one of my most favourite anime characters. The blood is a symbolic link to both her tragic past and the 'serious' nature of the work she performs.

This work is a mixture of digital painting and photomanipulation...good practice is needed for both I decided to paint the WIP instead...
