I've been working on this for about 2 weeks now, ever since I assigned the project themes to everyone participating. In case it wasn't obvious, the theme was Candy and I got 'lollipop'Initially I wanted to draw her in a lollipop land...but I didn't have enough inspiration or skill level yet to go drawing imaginary lands
I'm content with how the background came out, but I'm stoked with how Savannah herself came out.
I had waaaaaaaaaay too much fun with this drawing
although I usually always do with the monthly theme drawings ;w;

Really enjoying the exuberance of sweets here, the lollipop rain does look a bit stiff with its linear, straight layout still it has a pop-art feel which focuses on precision & order. Savannah herself is very cute working and blending within the candy shower. (Especially like how you accurately bent and folded the candies on her shirt according to fold behaviour & wrinkle of drapery, reflects technical accuracy not to mention adding movement to the piece) Awesome work here!

The funny thing is that the lollipops in the very background weren't meant to be raining...I do find it interesting that people interpreted it that way, however I was actually only trying to do a lollipop pattern.
Thanks a lot for the compliments though. I worked fairly hard on this piece, so it's nice to get some appreciation for it.

I get it... guess it was b/c of the diagonal angle which the lollipops were in (Raindrops are usually portrayed as diagonal tiny streaks), my bad. Still the diameter & symmetrical order of the candy patterns are very precise and well organized. Great job again and keep it up!

It would have been neat if I was trying to make it look like they were raining because that sounds like a really neat concept :3

And you did a awesome job on the clothing, the folds in the skit and at the bottom of the sleeves look nice
