Oh my god, this is beautiful. Stopped me in my tracks. The quality, the detail, the concept, it's all so fucking fluid. I've been staring for minutes now and I'm still finding little things I missed at a first glance. Insane. I love it.

thanks for your non-generic comment XD...not being sarcastic. Most people just say "great or amazing"

good concept, but you could have done better with the face
expression and it doesnt look like he's putting enough effort to lift it..my point is you could have made it more realistic as far as the face xpression and the pose..its just an opinion..nice though

How would you of done the face expression and the pose?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
sahaldropout In reply to FatherofGod [2009-09-07 02:52:18 +0000 UTC]
I would probably tell him to actually lifting something heavy instead of telling him to pose like he was lifting something...that way maybe it would look more realistic..because he is actually lifting the car..not just posing like he's lifting it...

Thanks and yea that was something I had to consider as well. It's difficult with dark pieces because everyone has different monitor settings and such. I'nm assuming you don't have the brightness turned up all the way on your monitor or possibly you are using an older monitor. But there are a few people who preferred the piece to be a little bit darker. So I had to simply find a balance.

the idea and lighting are both great.
a few negative aspects for me are the guy's head-body relation (not very clean) and too much messing around in general. seems to me you've added way to many filters, gradients, levels and sharpened it a bit too much..
besides that, great work.

Absolutely amazing! Such attention to detail, right now to adding a deer and a raccoon, and the rain droplets splashing off of things. Superbly executed! (:

haha I didn't think anyone noticed the raccoon, even the group s3 I submitted to, I'm not sure if anyone noticed. Thank you for taking your time to really look at the piece.

Ahh I guess you can interpret it that way...there are many ways you can I left it up to the viewer to determine that....but mine is: He was driving too fast, and it was too dark, along the roads and the tail end side swiped a tree, she realized the car was still moving and he could not stop it so she panicked and jumped out thru her side door. The car then crashed and because it is downhill started moving backwards on top of her since the breaks were out. The glass is from when he tried kicking out the front windshield because the glass was cracked from the first crash from a branch under the tree, leaving the glass around where she is lying. She landed on one of the glass pieces and rolled over on her back.

I thought this was amazing from the initial viewing. Then I started looking at each individual stock. My respect for you just doubled. Uneblievable amount of thought and detail, even down to adding some stock leaves. Superb superb superb...
As for the concept itself, it touches a nerve. No need to explain why though.
Peace, Lance

i like the scene. pretty strong.
i wouldn't have lit the car's windshielt so much.. all you need to know is a crash happened. a little hint is better than making it so hyperrealistic i think.
