It's hard to explain but I hope this helps ;w;
1. I picked their base color
2. Choose a darker color for shading
3. Find a lighter color for highlights (I set it to 80% opacity)
4. Changed it's lineart color~ (Fun part ouo)
I often do soft shading~
In Paint Tool Sai, I use Brush, Airbrush, Pen and Marker tool
I sometimes find color tutorials in DA if I want to change my coloring style :3
