"...coming over the crest of the next hill, I spied it. The Elusive Land Anemone. Like it's cousin of the sea variety, its maw bristles with tendrils charged with a venomous spittle, that if touched, will render its poor prey comatose. The Creature is massive-larger then the largest of mammals, and swallows its prey whole, which has thus far been noticed to be elk, bears, and wildcats. At night, the Anemone returns to its den, but only after a peculiar dusk-time swim. Further study is required..."totally watched a PBS show tonight with my wife, and decided to do a journal style entry. Because I am lame.

I don't find it lame. I like it better than most of your other entries. It reminds me of Hell Beasts: How to draw fantasy creatures. I had an almost journal quality to the entries...

Nothing lame at all with being inspired by a PBS show. Many of my stories have been inspired by nature shows.
