A Prince, at heart, is one who always is the first to lend a hand. It is a Prince's duty to treat all with equal kindness and fairness, if they deem themselves worthy of it. A Prince must follow their hearts but never at the expense of others. A Prince is one who always sacrifices themselves for the sake of others. A Prince's heart may pay the price for this, but that is the way of the Prince. A Prince is the one who is left out in the rain, who rarely truly wins the Princess' heart. They are the broken, the defeated, who cannot act on selfish impulses and thus almost never know satisifaction. For if they do, then the Prince casts off their crown and plays the Devil, who knows only the heat of the Flame and gives into mindless passion. But, surely, cannot the Prince indulge themselves at least once in their lives? Cannot they hope not just for the Princess' kiss but their love too? That is truly the only thing a Prince ever wants in their life, for it is all that matters. But in order to know love, the Prince must also know pain, which walks hand in hand with love, the two twins of the heart. Sometimes the two share the heart and sometimes the first casts out the other. Sometimes pain consumes love, and leaves naught but destruction in its wake. Still, may the Prince stand strong, for there is always hope, even if the Prince must forge it out of his/her own two hands. The Prince must know where and how to fight off the pain and the Devil, how to win the Princess' heart rather than steal it; otherwise, the action is without meaning, and there is nothing more hollow than that.

Of course not. It was something I made up on the spot. Its just my general idea on what it takes to qualify as a Prince, however tragic that road may be.
