Description This was my second Studio Art final for 2011. ALOT of work went into each individual photo, the concepts, photoshoot(s), post-processing and creative editing.

This year, for my Studio Art work, I chose to work on cosplay photography, using Disney characters as my main subject matter.

The year-long project kept me quiet busy all year, and kinda made me work my absolute hardest to make sure I could make sure all my folio work and my actual artworks were completed on time.

This particular series of photos is my Scenario shots, which depicts each character in a scenario from the movie they are from. I had to both come up with a concept for the photographs as well as actually execute them to end up the way they are now.

The following few notes are taken directly from my evaluation;

Alice;
"The scene depicts her being watched by surrounding flowers. Each flower is actually got a photo of the cosplayer in it, to make the flowers have a face, as well as the repetition of the face to create a more bizarre feel to it. I also thought the Cheshire Cat was fitting in the image, shrouded in both mystery and darkness, but making it identifiable through the large eyes and purple mist"

Pocahontas;
"With this scene, I intended on creating the wind artificially. Of course, I wasn't sure how to create, 'wind' in a photograph, being so hard to capture itself. So I went a different direction, representing the wind similar how it was in the film."

Cinderella;
"Cinderella's scene was her transformation from servant to Princess, but can also be seen vice versa. The original photograph was taken in the daylight, so I had to both create artificial night, as well as a light source (from the lamps in the background)... Overall, there was about 20 - 30 hours of trial and error, having never experimented with changing light on photoshop"

Cruella;
"This scene was the most 'original' compared to the others. Rather than taking a scene and replicating it, like the other characters, I thought up this idea of Cruella before she became 'de Vil' (a devil) and evil. It shows a younger Cruella looking onto a group of dalmatians and being tempted into evil through the fashion possibilities."

(once I get my folio back, I may put up the extended notes as well as maybe upload a few of the concept arts of the photos if requested)

Firstly, thanks for the feeback ^_^
And these photos were taken a good 2 years ago now, so I won't be adding any more from these specific photoshoots.
However, I am in the process of organizing some more Disney-fantasy styled projects so please look forward to those!
