What do I plan to do with the character?
------
I had a lot of fun developing her, as you can see in the section below, and I'd love to have her as a character for the game/comic i'm planning! ;0; Tbh, the idea isn't 100% fleshed out but I'm having a lot of fun working on it in the background and I believe that this KD story will help with me gaining more confidence in my writing and story telling!

They're design really clicked with me and I can already think of a bunch of relationships (good and bad) that she can develop over time with some of my other KD children!

[ Yo none of this is canon info obviously,, this is just how my KD universe works!! ]
[ PLEASE do NOT make a 'star kissed' KD or use any of my ideas as a subspecies!! ]

This is Ophelia, she is the protector of the multiverse and she watches over several different universes and worlds. She's also 2,503 years old! Her journey to becoming the protector was long, and it all started the moment she was born. See, 1/3000000 kittydogs are born 'star kissed', this means they have a special birthmark (usually resembling something like, or close to Ophelia's rear marking) and this means they're legible for becoming the protector!

"But what separates these guys from regular KD?" those who are 'star kissed' tend to be born with a lot of magical potentials, unlike normal KD who train several years to hone their magic. Also, they tend to live up to 10,000 years, compared to other KDs who usually live for 5,000. Lots of people develop a favouritism over someone who is 'star kissed', protector or not. While KDs today are trying to get rid of the bias, believing everyone is equal, it still continues in the KD world today.

Back on track with Ophelia, after she was born 'star kissed' she was sent to an exclusive school for only 'star kissed'. For more than half of her life, she was surrounded by those who were like her. While at school, she wasn't extremely popular. She had at most 2 close friends, but to make up for lack of social interaction she honed her school skills. Her parents always told her stories about the current protector, and she was determined to be just like him. As she grew older and more homework pilled onto her, she soon realized that she doesn't know how to cope with stressful situations properly. She tends to have mental breakdowns and needs to take a few minutes to calm and relax. However, despite this, she got very good grades and was successful in school.

When she got out of school, it was noticed by her and many KDs that a new 'star kissed' was required to take the role of the protector, since the current protector's magic was beginning to run low and he was ready to retire. This was it, this was her opportunity, she immediately signed up for the competition, not realizing what she'd gotten herself into. The competition was about stealth, organization, knowledge, etc. While competing, she recognized several of her classmates and while it did hurt to have to face off against them, her determination was strong and pushed her through to the end, where she won.

She was so surprised, she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and started to tear up. She was given the swirls on her ears and tail, then became marked as the new protector. She quickly ran over to tell her parents the great news but realized that they weren't as excited as she initially was. It then dawned on her that she wouldn't be able to see them nor her close friends for an extended amount of time, for her new job was extremely demanding. She was given 24hrs before she would have to be transferred to the Vøid and learn the ins and outs of her role. She spent every last second with those she loved most and when it was time for her to go, several tears were shed.

Despite how hard it was for Ophelia, she doesn't regret it one bit. Although she's only been protector for about 50 years and still makes quite a few mistakes (such as leaving portals open in the Vøid, interfering with different worlds, etc) she does her job decently. Well, until a random kittydog happened to stumble upon one of her open portals and thought it would be a splendid idea to hop in.. But that's a story for another time!!
