I am very happy to finally have this finished! 8DThis was a sketch done by le awesome BlazingStarOfTime ! She was originally doodling Jace in the style of her series, World Jumpers <3 I fell completely in love with the sketch and the spiffy outfit she drew him in! So I gave it color and voila!
And since Iris is getting a new outfit canonically, so is Jace! And this one here is his new outfit design!
I couldn't resist using it! It's just beautiful <333Goodnight!

Pardon, I am the illustrator for this particular artwork. She merely lined and colored my sketch. So if you have an issue with the design or style, then please take it up with me. The style you see before you is mine, as I draw certain Dekus fairly humanoid.
Firstly, this is all of my design. Not Fayelene's. Mine. C: Secondly, this outfit was originally a noodle doodle in my series' outfit style, but Fayelene decided that she would keep it and make it his next canon outfit to change things up (to my absolute surprise D: ). Her choice, my design. As for the pelt issue, well, there comes a time when something becomes a little too worn, yet holds too much sentimental value to continue using it. This is the case with Jace's pelts, as they were really starting to fall apart at the seams (especially that poor ol' vest As for your comment on updating characters, ho boy, I relate to that on a high note. I redesign my main characters far too often. XD *glares at Blaize from corner of eye*

Woah there, I'm not trying to be hostile here. I am not fond of picking fights either; also, ummm.... where was there flaming? I was just tossing things out there, really. XD I must say, though, while your concern is most likely appreciated, you shouldn't really worry about something that doesn't belong to you. Just as you implied, it's out of both of our control. I'm not willing to argue, certainly, but I'll defend what's mine, and that's my design here.

I also tend to comment stalk, and since this submission is partially mine, I am obligated to reply to comments that refer to me or what I made. No worries, I'm not gonna fight with ya or anything, just clarifying something here. <3 We're all pals here, after all! No need to get defensive, I'm not gonna bite. XD Bashing and flaming is not my thing, no sir. I too have been in a massive drama fest before, hmmm... about two years ago, so I can relate. I wouldn't dare stir something up like that. *shudder* Again, I'm doing this independently by my own will; I'm not stepping in for anyone.

Not to step in (which I am) but I can see where Metroid-Tamer thinks you are stepping in for Sonic. You see, she asked Sonic specifically in the first comment about the pelts. You answered there for Sonic despite Jace not being your character. I think an answer from the OC's owner would be a much better answer than from someone else. It can seem rude and as if you are starting a debate of sorts. To go with what you said, Jace doesn't belong to you so you don't really need to answer. At the same time a fan of a character can worry. A friend can worry. That person commenting is someone Sonic considers a friend. Doesn't mean that Sonic has to take her opinion. It is just an opinion and let the opinions go \o\
The wording you chose in general just seems hostile even if unintentional. She never said you were flaming anyone but rather she'd avoid it if at all possible. Saying it like you have seems as if you are now trying to flame. Not to be a mean mama from the internet but word choice can come off different to everyone given no tone. So my word choice here probably already seems way too angry for no reason despite me trying to just clarify. Heck, even the clarify might come off as snobbish. Really doesn't help if you don't know the person. So everything on the internet is a gambling game unfortunately.
Yes it is your design and half of your art but everyone is still allowed to their own opinions. She may think the outfit's design looks better on a human but there are at least two disagreements (that being you and Sonic who is choosing to go with the design). Yes you say you draw humanoid deku but she still has her own preference. We all have things we like and dislike. That is something we all need to understand. There was no attacking on her end and all in all, there was defensive comments alongside unintentional stepping in. Just be careful who the comments are directed towards.

I really like this design, though I'm surprised at the same time. I was expecting Iris to get a new outfit at some point, but not Jace, so this comes as a surprise to me.

Spiffy indeed. I see Jace has finally grown enough to realize his pants shouldn't be dragging on the ground (maybe he will trip less now) AND he lost the skirt thing.
The design sort of gives me a Kingdom Hearts vibe too. But Blazing's designs sort of feel that way to me, so I guess it makes sense. Amazing how she can carry over a style from a completely different type of game and time era, and yet make it actually work instead of looking tacky. That takes skill.
