If Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. ever did crossover into one, this would be the result.

Basically, you have Nintendo's All-Star characters racing down tracks based on their favorite levels, using items like Pokéballs or Deku Nuts, for example, to get ahead of the other fighters. If you're using a Pokéball, the Pokémon might attack the other kart for a certain amount of time. If you're lucky, you even get a Smash Ball that lets you use your Final Smash.

In Team Battles, up to two characters can ride one kart, just like in Mario Kart: Double Dash. Here's an example with Mario and Shantae riding in the latter's kart [as you may have guessed] while the former is about to use a Green Shell. It's unknown how many players may be involved in either a Team Battle or a regular Smash Battle, but if four is too little and eight is too many, then six is a perfect balance.

On certain tracks based on Star Fox, Metal Gear Solid, or Kid Icarus, when and if the right racer [Fox, Falco, or Wolf; Solid Snake; Pit or Palutena] is used, special commentary will be provided by Peppy Hare, Slippy Toad, Krystal, Leon Powalski, Panther Caroso, and R.O.B. 64 [Jaz Adams, Lyssa Browne, Alésia Glidewell, Jim Walker, Eric Newsome, and Dex Manley]; Colonel Campbell, Otacon, and Mei Ling [Paul Eiding, Christopher Randolph, and Kim Mai Guest]; and Viridi [Hynden Walch]. Speaking of Viridi, in an AU where Super Smash Kart becomes a reality, in the E3 demos, she was voiced by Dayci Brookshire. This didn't sit well with those familiar to Walch's portrayal of the character at all.
