Several people picked up on the 3 monkeys theme, and I liked your treatment of it. However, being somewhat of a traditionalist, I think it might have been even more powerful without the black widows (which I found distracting) and the mismatched webs. Black widow webs are notoriously disjointed, these appear more like those of some orb spiders. Here is a decent example of a black widow web:

Sometimes, less is more, and I think this would have been better with less.
