Thank you I love doing all the cape folds. Really helps to make it look less static.

Not sure...it might be something to do with shading, they look quite 3-dimensional, giving a good idea of the curve shape of the face. Mine look quite flat by comparison so I like comparing how other people draw things

Thank you Comes from a lot experimenting, and keeping the techniques that seem to work. Even now, I still experiment to find something that works for a specific character.
I like the way you do yours, though. The nose shadow, and a bit under the hair. Enough to lend shape, without being too much.
