Polysics - I'm a worker gave me the kick to draw this while traveling home to my mothers place by train.Not really sure why those things are behind him, I guess he's an artist that puts his creative ways behind him to become a plain productive worker.. or something clever along those lines.. But hey! It's a real draw! Merely added some digital spots of pink to cheer up the mood. Hope thats ok.
Normal 4$ black roller was used for all this this.

Often our best drawings are simple sketches like this. I love how you started with the idea of portraying a worker and then let your subconscious roam free from there onward. I first saw this picture when I was in high school and had no job. Now that I do have a job I truly appreciate the feeling of monotony and drudgery "I'm a worker" evokes.
Stark black and white fit this picture well and the smatterings of pink add a "finished" quality to it while maintaining the loose, sketchy feel.

Reminds me slightly of Ogdread Weary's pictures or Edward Gorey if you mind. No need to tell it is a great picture and the figures are really speaking flr themselves. Enjoys watching it.

maybe he thinks that all that is creative and unique and that used to live in his imagination as a child is childish and immature and he's rejecting it, thinking that by eliminating it from himself is the only way to make his way in the corporate, jaded world our political leaders try to create for us..... how misled he is, when really it's the art (all arts, photography, sculpture, drawing, poetry, music, theater, ALL OF IT) that keeps some people from going crazy, and the art that helps people through hard times and to remember the good times, and art that gives us all something to hold on to when it seems like there's nothing left...... i bet his life will be sad because he gave it all up... and how sad to think how many other people have done or are doing the same thing....
