Lovely use of colour in this scene, and I like that unusual knight fighting the monster with bow and arrows instead of the more traditional weaponry.

I use reference all the time,no shame about that, its all about how you use it,copying bluntly is no use,but when the rest(idea behind it,colors, comp, etc) and final painting are sprung directly from your imagination then you have made great art, which in this case is obviousCongrats ,its an awesome pieceLove the lighting in this ,reminds me a bit of the old masters

Interesting. The arrow shooter looks like the Prince of Persia...
btw, what would be the Persian name of Hydra or ''Watersnake'' ?

it actually bothers me quite a bit when you can tell someone was looking at a jpop singer or an actor...it's intrusive or something. anyway, great job! the colors are seriously to die for...although is the horse missing a saddle? it kinda looks like the guy has a stirrup ring on his foot. love the horse's hind legs and the color of the light going down its flanks.

everything's great, just for a small detail, I mean, it had to happen for the sakes of the "theatricality" of the piece, but the side of the horse's neck by which the man is shooting the arrow is the wrong one, I mean, it's too uncomfortable to shoot with that angle, considering the depth of each element in the picture.
now, about the technique it is really awesome, and it's not that bad to use references, because the more you use, the easier it's later to 'access' the images you've stored in your head
