Smoke isn't a cyborg anymore. In the original timeline, Sub Zero and Smoke both fled from the lin keui because they didn't want to me automated. However, Smoke was caught, and automated anyway. This is a separate timeline, and this time Sub Zero was caught, and Smoke escaped.
