Not at all, but it's VERY addictive! It's done by poking fibers over and over with a barbed needle, it's a lot less complicated than wet felting. The wool is very nice to work with and easy on your hands. I learned how to do it by buying a tutorial, there's tons of them on etsy.www.etsy.com/?ref=hdr
