Description
I was inspired by 's latest Warriors comic to make my own "Dark Forest bound" cat. I also took a page from her book for the eye colors. I kind of like how she did it. I also wanted to do the hairstyle thing, but it didn't work out all that well. I sucked at it and nothing I came up with seemed right for Foxfeather, so her design stays pretty simple.
Long story short, this she-cat was one a nice girl, but grief and rage (with a hint of jealousy) drove her mad.
Basically, Foxfeather was a loyal and brave RiverClan warrior. She had Cherrypatch (her littermate and only surviving sibling), Stormtooth (her mate), and Otterpaw (her only surviving kit). Sadly, her happiness was cut short when Stormtooth was killed and Otterpaw was fatally wounded in battle by a ShadowClan warrior named Ashstripe. Both had been accidents. Foxfeather was devastated. Her only consolation was that Otterpaw lived long enough to be given his warrior name before joining Stormtooth, so StarClan received him as Otterstorm (yes, he was named in honor of his father). About two moons after that fateful day, Foxfeather snuck into ShadowClan territory and murdered Ashstripe in cold blood. It would've been enough for Foxfeather had she not learned about Ashstripe's illicit meetings with Cherrypatch. Apparently, the two had been mates and Ashstripe had been the unknown sire of Cherrypatch's kits: Featherpaw (which was a real slap in the face since she was named in Foxfeather's honor), Eaglepaw, and Birchpaw. Angered by the fact that her sister had betrayed both her and RiverClan by giving birth to the kits of her mate and son's killer, Foxfeather killed Eaglepaw and Birchpaw. Both had been singled out and both had died slowly and painfully. Foxfeather wanted them to suffer because they were Ashstripe's kits. Featherpaw would've been killed as well, but she got lucky. Cherrypatch appeared with a hunting patrol and distracted Foxfeather long enough for Featherpaw to slash her throat open. The once noble RiverClan warrior bled to death in a matter of minutes and the last thing she saw was her Clanmates giving her glares of pure hatred with the coldest one coming from Cherrypatch. The only ones who didn't look upon her with hate were Featherpaw and Mudwhisker. The apprentice had a look of shock and regret on her face while the aging warrior simply turned and walked away as if she meant nothing to him.
When Foxfeather came to, she found herself in the Dark Forest. She honestly wasn't surprised. In dawned on her when she died that she wouldn't be joining Stormtooth, Otterstorm, and Silverkit (her other kit who died of greencough) in StarClan and why. It wasn't because she killed three cats, but rather why she did. She knew deep down that her mate and son's deaths had been accidents. She saw the horrified look on Ashstripe's face when it happened. That alone was proof enough that he never meant for it to happen. She was just too grief struck and angry to care at the time. She killed Ashstripe to satisfy her thirst for revenge. She killed Eaglepaw and Birchpaw and was going to kill Featherpaw because they were Ashstripe's kits. She even entertained the idea of killing Cherrypatch out of jealousy. Her sister had betrayed her Clan and somehow got everything that StarClan saw fit to take from her. At the time, Foxfeather thought it was unfair. Now, she knows that it never should've mattered and that she ended up in the Place of No Stars because she let it matter. Clarity came too late for her as it often does for cats who've done enough wrong to be denied their place among the stars. She had lost out on being with her loved ones in StarClan because she had allowed bitterness and hatred to poison her heart. All the pain she caused, all the blood she spilled, it hadn't been worth it. Not by a longshot.
I'll get around to designing all the other mentioned cats later (Ashstripe and Featherpaw will be frustrating to say the least since they're tabbies and I suck at stripes), but mainly so you know what they look like.

Edit 1: I updated the pic so it looks more like a complete reference.
Edit 2: While I was fleshing out Foxfeather's kin, Mudwhisker was surprisingly still alive when she died. I've gone back and made the necessary changes.
