Description My two Leucistic coyotes, Rain (left) and Skye (right).

I first saw Skye three years ago, when a taxidermist was selling off some oddball coyotes. I contacted the seller about purchasing her, but someone else got in just before me, so the seller offered me Rain instead, whom I pounced on. A month ago the person who bought Skye originally decided to put her up for sale and I gladly took her.

So here they are reunited. They’re both from the same region, and same trapper - their ears were both skinned out in the same appalling way. Skye’s ears are barely there, she’s taken a lot of work to make her look half presentable. Her leather was splitting like wet toilet tissue when I was re-shaping her face, so that was torture. One of her eyes was enlarged to the point I could fit my fist through it.

They’re both my absolute loves though, white animals have always held a fascination for me, and coyotes are my favourite animals. I really feel honoured to own these two.

No, these two both came from an American taxidermist who (at the time) had the export licence.

Thankies very much! Don't worry, not all of us Europeans like to turn things into terrible soft mounts.
