Description
Sennyo and Shugo, two 'fae dragons' enjoying each other's company. I really don't have a story for this pic, other then Shugo enjoys attaching himself to people's heads/faces. XD Plus I needed an excuse to draw Sennyo for Heri. <3Anyway, this is my [late] half of an art trade I had with herisheft. I know I could have done better with the colouring but photoshop was giving me fits and I got frustrated with it... that and I'm not sure I like the linework anymore.
I posted this of FA a while ago, but DA wouldn't me upload anything at the time...

Wonderful! I really love the gradiant going from the greenish hands and feet to the yellow of the body. I wish my transitions turned out that smooth! And the detail of the neck and tail areas is really cool! Crits? Ummm. Try and find refrences for shading and highlighting. Especially around for the torso (I am guilty of this too) because the shading looked fine everywhere else but there it starts looking a little awkward.

^///^ Yeah you're right about the torso... I'm still learning how to place shadows and it's a little hard sometimes since I have to teach these things to myself. Trial and error is sometimes the only way to learn these things I suppose.

beware of highlighting yellow, it tends to look dull XD you may also want to make light source look a bit more sharper than shadows (especially saturated), shadows like to ooze and stuff

I rarely use yellows, it's one of my least favourite colours, partly because it always ends up looking muddy when I shade it.
