Description Two doodles of Loid from Mother in a personalized style.
I'm toying with designs I'll use in this retelling idea I'm working on.
Yeah, I don't understand the poses either, I just drew whatever my hand felt like drawing.

In the top doodle, Loid is holding a pocket-sized telescope that people with very bad vision use to see things that are far away. I really only drew him holding it because I was having trouble drawing that hand and was like "whatever" and put it there just because it'd be easier to draw than an empty hand.
The bottom doodle I just can't explain, I guess he just threw something... heheh, maybe it was his telescope.

Why the hell would I throw my telescope? I need it!

How the hell should I know? You're the one who threw it.
Loid's original design has the grossest colors. I mean, yellow socks with orange shoes? Gosh, Loid, are you color blind, too?
Drawing his glasses is so hard. It's really difficult to draw perfect circles as is, but to draw two of them and to get them approximately the same size and shape is so futile.
I want to draw attention to his glasses by making the lenses more like giant eyes as opposed to frames in front of eyes, kinda like Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory. Loid's glasses mean a lot to him, this is canon. What isn't canon but is implied (intentionally or not) is that he has albinism. The evidence supporting this includes: He has terrible eyes; he has white hair (or technically grey); he's got freckles (skin damage from the sun?); He puts forth a lot of effort to be sure no one ever sees his eyes (only he and his mother have ever seen his eyes without his glasses. Perhaps they're pink and he's self conscious? Don't get me wrong, people with albinism usually have blue eyes); and he spends most of his time awake at night and doesn't sleep much, probably trying to avoid the daylight. All this info is either clear just by looking at him, or present in the Mother encyclopedia (which may or may not be canon).
This is the reason I want him in a hoodie for my retelling. He uses it to cover his sensitive skin and puts his hood up for additional protection. I like the idea of giving Loid a congenital disorder because it pairs nicely with Ninten's difficulty breathing (with asthma and all). I like to imagine them bonding over sharing their struggles, I find that it helps really justify their friendship beyond just the fact that Ninten doesn't treat Loid like dirt like everyone else does (or should I say "trash"? Heheh, subtle references).
How does the Mother fandom feel about the idea of Loid being albino? (I know I'm not the only one who has thought this)

I love Lloyd.Β  He's so sweet and is sympathetic.Β  Does anyone else think he's Doctor Andonuts as a child?

I know, he really does bear an unusual resemblance with the Doctor.

Not only that but they both hide in trash cans.

No problem.

I think it's a good idea.Β It reminds me ofΒ that whole skit in the RP about the albinos and the Nazis. Also, he does fit the description.

Omg, albinos and Nazis. That was funny.
