I'm no expert on men (not by a long shot) but their anatomy isn't too tricky. So hopefully this will help people draw some REAL MANLY MENS.Anatomy was studied through anatomy books, photostudies etc, so there were references, but it was not a direct ref from photo.
Done in Photoshop CS5 with Intuos4 Tablet. Feel free to ask any further questions.

That was an interesting tutorial. Thanks for sharing. For me, men is the most difficult subject to draw. There is a trade off in drawing something that can be frustrating but rewarding. One of my main OCs is a man, named Soram. He is really challenging to draw, but I can draw him okay. He looks very different from this picture. That is okay because that is just different style. I was amused by "Have fun (staring at hot men) researching". I admit I am guilty of doing this. Personally I like the oldies rock star men. They generally very cute and pretty. So there were times when I would watch lots of YouTube videos of them. That is very helpful to reference. The research and practice really helped me design Soram. It is fun to watch hot guys. However we need to be careful not to objectify them. In addition to physical attractiveness one should acknowledge and respect deeper things like personality, intelligence, skills and feelings.

That's it? Wow xD I've always had the issue of causing facial hair to appear... wild. When looking at it, I always imagine a werewolf. Perhaps my strokes are too long. Well then, I'll try out your method and see how much I improve.
