Description Bueh, ya lo termine.

Well, I'm *done* with it. I have no more gas left to improve the background but well, I'm satisfied with the way it looks, flashy and all. You can check the evolution of the scene and the creation of the character in the scraps section

The scene belongs to Watchmen, by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons and John Higgins, a *comic* book from the mid 80's published by DC comics that changed the way comics were seen by the general public, giving it a never before reached depth and significance that is yet to be surpassed by other authors. Together with Frank Miller's Dark Knigth Return, Watchmen signaled a widening in the range comic creators were allowed to move. So far the results have been endless amounts of copycats and a general shift from the comic industry into a more dark / twisted approach, giving root to controversy about the original audience comics are aimed for, children and teenagers, and the audience publishing houses tend to focus more nowadays, young adults and collectors. Despite all this, Watchmen has been named recently one of the most influential books of the last 100 years by Time Magazine, and its rumored movie adaptation continues to provides endless discussions to fans everywhere.

Edit: Done with Maya 6.0, Textures and Compositing with Photoshop, some textures taken from google searches, Playmate picture belongs to Playboy.

This one's for Alan, Dave and John, my friend Gustavo who gave me the gift of Watchmen twice and for the good fellas at the Vivarium. Cheers

Oh damn. You're just as cool as ever, aren't you?
I am by no means a graphic artist, but this certainly looks like an incredible picture to me.

Wow Anna!!! Thanks a lot for dropping by! Happy new year/christmas/birthday and all, it's been a while since I last saw you around, hope you'll be able to visit more often in the future

About the piece it is more a fanboy technical homage to one of my many pop-culture references. Nowadays I work in 3d animation and my specialty is cloth simulation and setting up characters for animation. On the other hand, texturing and making things look properly ligthed is beyond me I appreciate your comments and will put up more things here in the future
