Been there, in the Night Corridor hearing footsteps every muscle clenched, your throat so tight and hurting you feel like you've swallowed a tennis ball embedded with razor blades holding your breath so hard and so long the black bees cloud your vision and you know you are close to passing out but you can't breath until you know if the footsteps are coming towards you or going away...

ça me rappelle "Le cas Susan Urban" étudié par Binswanger. Il s'agit d'une femme qui devient skizophrène et paranoïaque à la suite du cancer de son mari. Les médecins le déclarent non viable, Susan Urban décident pourtant de tout faire pour le sauver, passe ses jours et ses nuits à veiller pour étudier le problème de son mari. Elle devient experte en maladies pulmonaires. Petit à petit, elle ne dort plus ni ne mange et se mets à errer dans les couloirs de l'hôpital en marchant sur la pointe des pieds. Elle sombre alors dans une grave maladie mentale. La photo m'évoque un peu le basculement pathologique de cette femme torturée.

I love it! The upside-down staircase gives a subtle yet fantastic touch! It is just enough to add to the overall creepy vibe yet subtle enough not to overpower the shot or main subject of interest/focus.
