Will it eventually be released for free?

I need to realize a way of releasing it in a way the encourage people to subsidize this endeavour.

Are animations only available to watch to those who pay for them?

Yes. This is what Patreon has turned the creative community into.

It doesn't bother me that artists are looking for support, and it doesn't bother me that they'll make some things specific to paying patrons as a reward and incentive to them.
But this increasing practice of exclusivity and cockteasing of things behind paywalls is becoming old, fast. More and more artists are doing it too, and it's gotten to the point where it's almost pointless to watch them anymore unless you're also giving them money because you'll only see a tenth of what their patrons do.
It would bother me much less if the stuff that is exclusive to patrons was just left there and not dangled a quarter the way in front of everyone else.
I remember the days when artists would put out art packs with bare bones teasers. I hated that, but looking back? I think it's preferable to what we've ended up with instead. :/

Thats sad...
I would honestly prefer a system where a few bucks would allow patrons to see W.I.P's or maybe stuff a week or two early,
but permanent paywalls for a few seconds of footage is a little... cheap imo. Nothing against the artist, he needs money too... but this is a little unbarable.

Artists don't make a really big income and need outside outlets to help them get by. That's a very sad truth.

BGinks 121199 Flynn-Coyote Given that I'm on the brink of finishing college I'd like to do these two things one after the other:
- Get an internship/job in an animation studio to hone in my skills in the private sector
- Turn feedfancier into my full-time job and exclusively work on commissions while maintaining it through crowdfunding.
To do either while keeping this feefancier updated I'd need monetary support which ideally be a tip-jar supported by 1k-10k people pledging whatever they feel is worth their price.
But people expect incentives either to receive more for a higher price and in my case to keep the Patreon updated on the double to make sure it remains worthy to the Patrons supporting me.

That's deeply unfortunate. I can understand your situation.. but a permanent paywall seems wrong.

Agreed. Still I'm open for suggestions, maybe put the on a mega link for 1 day to celebrate my birthday on Sunday, maybe make older loops available 6 months afterwards.
I'd like to hear ideas if you have some.

Making things free to view after a set time is the way I'd go.
It'd have to be a significant time frame to keep the incentives in place, like your 6 month idea. Alternatively at the end of each year you could release the previous year's loops or something similar to that.
I didn't mean to imply that you needed to change or that you were doing shit wrong, I just meant to express my profound disappointment that the quasi competitive atmosphere Patreon has created among artists has pushed many to become all but dependent on paywalls and similar levels of exclusive behaviour towards would be fan bases. For example, I work full time, but my job barely scrapes me enough to live off each week before running out due to paying off a car loan. I do manage to set some aside for hobbies on personal interests, but not to the point that I could just dedicate it permanently to some artist. And even if then, who would I choose?
I'd rather set money aside to commission something specifically that I want, but even that has become difficult since many artists now would rather tend their patrons than take outside commissions anymore. I know to people in your position, Patreon is a miracle. But to people in mine it's a fucking curse.

Very good points, I think it's a good idea to release a yearly backlog for free, maybe the one from 2 years ago to have the people pledging something to see once they do.
Personally, I'd prefer to provide encouragements for 1000 people to pledge 1-5$ rather than having 30 patrons to pledge 25-50$, people seem hesitant to pledge as a rule.
In the current state of affairs, very few people have more than a 1000 patrons and it seems that people tend to be generous enough for these monthly loops.

I can suggest paywalls for people to see wips or early access,
that way you get paid and people get to see your stuff for free a few months later?
Or perhaps the people who pay you get extra high quality or an extra scene to the animation?

Yeah, I made this suggestion to my Patrons. Most patrons prefer the system to remained as it is now. Still, thanks for the suggestion, I'd see what I can implement.
