In Thailand (where I am right now), people are so obsessed with pandas that they forgot that there are other endangered animals out there waiting to be helped. All the attention goes to this black and white creature.The panda's got its own tv reality channel (Panda Channel) where we look at the panda blinks, poops and sleeps all day long. One time the panda falls off the branches of the tree and this was all over the news, like it's the end of the world! The house that the panda's living in cost about 2 million something baht to construct. What's the big deal?! Is it because they're so cute and so cuddly? Is that it? If so, that must be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Is it because it's the most endangered? Why do we have to excessively care (or sometimes, obsessed) for one particular endangered animal? Why can't we care for all endangered animals more equally rather than being overly focused on one?
Thai elephants that are not yet endangered (but soon to be) do not get this much attention. And out there, other animals like the siberian tiger, white tailed fish eagle, lion-tailed macaque, jackass penguin, and many others are not this concentrated. I'm sorry if this is wrong in other countries, but thai people are overly obsessed with panda: panda merchandise, panda as a product presenter, panda channel... I'm sick of people being so obsessed with pandas! Sometimes I just wish that our country would send these pandas back to China where they'll have a more suitable environment to live in!
Let me say this clearly, I have nothing against pandas, it is the people that are overly obsessed with pandas that I have some problem with.

It's not just in Thailand; people all over the planet worship pandas like they're freaking gods! People act like they're the most endangered animal on earth when they don't even come close! People need to get their heads out of the panda bears butt-hole and pay attention to more critically endangered animals like the Vaquita, the Bali Mynah, the Scimitar-horned Oryx, the Dama Gazelle, the Amur Leopard and the Javan Rhinoceros.

ah.. i see what you mean that people should equally care about endangered animals. all animals should be equal.
before i read the description though, i thought that it was as if ALL of the endangered animals (including the panda) were asking "what about the rest of us," and you had the panda in the spotlight because pandas are usually the symbol for endangered animals. just giving you my two cents.

Panda channel? That's honestly really new to me, even as panda-lover, I had never heard about this channel, my favorite channel are actually Animal Planet....
Though I love pandas a lot, it's one of my favorite wild animals and even planned about making child comic about pandas. But I do also cares about other endagered animals too, because they're just important like everyone else! In fact, my second and third favorite wild animals are tigers and polar bears.
But I do get the message you're showing here and finds it very important to tell everyone, pay other endangered animals attention. Though I personally thought you could also put the whales and wolves as well, because people are constantly killing them off for profit and for old fears, mainly the wolves and foxes! But that's just a opinion though.
Btw I've went to Thailand January 2009 and got the chance to see elephants, tigers and also monkeys.

Oh dear fucking hell! Okay, it's a one thing about loving pandas, but gosh! I wonder if money they milking out really goes to these pandas at all?? I fucking hate when people milking out money for buissness like that! It's not fair to the pandas nor to the people who are really doing all they can to save pandas!

Sometimes, endangered species become so popular, than when they are rehabilitated into growing the population, they still are victimized by the people, when so many other species should be watched and helped.
