WiP of my first time trying to build a shield for cosplay

You can see:

1. All the Material I used
2. Rough cut out hard foam sheet ( In Germany they are called "Styrodur")
3. Working on it with an old iron -> used some backing paper to keep it clean
4. First layers of wood glue on the shield + glued crafting foam strips on
5. Used an old furniture handle to better hold the shield
6. close up of the blue paint (It is Hammerite hammer effect laquer)
7. all the crafting foam glued on, red emblem painted on, several coatings of wood glue and the finer details are made with sculpey polymer clay
