Phew.... sorry for my long absence, but I've been working on this and a bunch of other stuff like crazy. I know I totally forgot the deadline, but this was actually for the contest that was having a little while ago. Sorry it's so late, but it's gift art now.
I must admit, drawing a cuttlefish anthro was definitely fun, as were all the water effects that I tried to pull off. This piece was inked in Photoshop, but colored traditionally with Prismacolor Markers and Prismacolor Pencils. =3 I've been really getting back into traditional art lately... it's a lot of fun to have something you can actually hold in your hands, you know?

Wow, I love that. @_@ Completely amazing. I love the amount of detail you put into it, especially on her skin. I like the sand dunes waaay in the BG back there. Took me a moment to see them, but they look great. The way it turns darker the further back it goes looks so natural.
The boards on the ship look great too, and you pulled the water effects off nicely.

Hee~ I'm glad that you love it. =3 I used to use nothing but traditional media when I was in highschool, but I never had the patience to take my time and try to make sure that whatever I was working with would turn out alright. There's no "undo" button with them, so it's a bit more challenging than anything digital. I think that I probably will try to use traditional stuff more often, though. I couldn't hurt to know how to do things without Photoshop.

Actually, when I look at it I think of Windwaker also. XD Maybe it's because she's noseless, and the markers make it look cell-shaded most of the time. =3

D: this is the weirdest anthro I ever saw. great coloring though, especially the bg and the reflections on the sand. nothing like real life pictures

I've seen weirder ones, to tell you the truth. I've seen a few that were weird bugs like centipedes and grasshoppers, and then there was an Aye-Aye girl that I saw once and she was a bit on the creepy side. XD Thank you so much!

Daaang, the detail! All of the colors on her work really well. And the watery sunlight looks awesome as well, especially on the plants. I can never figure out how to use markers like this. I'm impressed.

Yeah, markers are hard to blend and everything, mostly because they tend to leave those streaks everywhere. I looked at a couple of tutorials before I started, though, and it seems like if you use them in a circular motion they tend to be more consistent. I'm not sure if that's with all markers or not, though. Thank you so much for the compliments. ^^

Circular motions? Hmm, I should try that sometime. It's too bad mine are running out... I was thinking of getting Copics 'cause people seem to like 'em, but I can't find them anywhere.

Wow, this is really super pretty. =o All that detail in the character's markings...and done traditionally too, that's impressive! I really like the sorta sunlight through water effects on the plants and rocks; it makes the background look all natural and dynamic.
I never thought I'd find myself saying this, but that cuttlefish anthro is adorable! XD

I'm glad that you do. ^^ If there's one thing that I love to do, it's create pain for myself by doing lots of water effects in my underwater pictures. XD I did a picture of some koi years ago, and that was my first attempt... jeez it was painful. XD
