brief sum up of who he is:

Lark is a half elf/triton bard- a very well off and popular one. He is also Coincidence’s ex-fiance;; aka the first person Coincidence had a meaningful romantic relationship with AND the first person to break their heart AND upending their life

Lark’s a very charming and very Insidiously Manipulative/abusive asshole (and was that way through their whole relationship; making coincidence almost fully dependent on him and pushign them away from their friends and other connections)

About a month before they were going to get married, though, Coincidence caught him cheating on them (and worked out he had been doing so for Quite Some Time). They retaliated by doing the same and when Lark walked in on them, he got violent & Coincidence had to acid splash him to get him off. Lark, instead of getting the law involved, wrote a ballad that doxxed coincidence Thoroughly and spun the whole situation to paint himself as a victim & Coincidence as a heartless monster. It ofc, became a smash hit and coincidence pretty much had to move away from Luskan and disappear to escape the dangerous attention it put on them.
