Description ...Golden Retriever, that is.

Here's another portrait of AJ. The reference I used was way lighter than the other one I drew from. I normally don't color so lightly, so it was a nice change for once.

Sketched with an HB mechanical pencil, colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. Highlights done in white acrylic paint.

He's gorgeous...his fur looks so real. I want to go into your picture and start playing with him! Also the coloring on the collar is very nice. However it's the expression that pulls me in...it's so soulful and alive. Beautiful job!

Oh gosh, YAY AJ! XD I love his eyes in this. The colors are so purrty too. XD I love Golden Retrievers, they somehow make me so happy. They always look like they're smiling at me. XD If I ever get a dog, I'm thinking of getting a one of these. They're just so lovable and playful as anything. XD

I know! XD They always seem so happy. In every photo I took, AJ had a cute face, or he had that happy dog expression. Even after losing a few teeth, he still smiled. And bit me, though that didn't hurt.

Aww. My friend wants to get one of them. They make great dogs. They're so smart and loveable.

Awww this looks grogeous and so adoarble too X3 Very nice work on the colouring 8D the mixture of yellows and browns in the fur look amazing :3 and the colouring and shading overall look really smooth n_n also the fur texture looks brilliant as well n_______n very nice work on drawing the face ^___^ the perspective on the muzzle looks perfect and the expression is so sweet too awesome piece!!!!!!

There's peach in there, too! Though, this is way better than my first attempt with using peach on a light colored dog. The first one looked all pinkish and unrealistic. XD

My beloved and beautiful Gracie has those same soulful and loving eyes. These dogs are beautiful inside and out and I wouldn't trade my baby girl for anything, she's the best.

They indeed are wonderful dogs. I wouldn't foster them if I didn't love them.

Though, I felt bad when he was losing his teeth all over the place. Poor puppy.

Gracie was sad when she lost hers. Is AJ as HYPER as Gracie was? My God, I thought she would NEVER lose her puppiness. She's four and is still hyper, just not as much. It's extreme happiness whenever ~Culturalrider is around!

Oh yeah. AJ was way hyper. He was just a pup. I'm not sure if he'll calm down once he grows up a little. Some of them stay like that.

Aww. That's cute. I'm not sure when they start settling down.

Bright was another golden I had, and he was huge. He was never hyper. It could have been because he was overweight. But he was a sweet dog.

The vet told my mom that they stay puppies until they're two and then they calm down. *Gracie comes up and whacks her with a stuffed sheep continuously* Ouch. SHe obviously lied. Even when we had Gracie fixed, the vet said she'd calm down. She had the surgery in the morning, by the same afternoon she was and as soon as she came in the house, she was running ALL OVER and jumping everywhere-- we're surprised she didn't pop any stitches!

Alex is...16? I think, and he still runs around the house like he's 3. I'm not sure what keeps these guys so energetic, but I'd like to find out!
