Description Argh, I miss her. >: I grew up with this gal. She was so sweet. She's been gone for ages now. I was in the 3rd grade when she passed away I think. Alex had been with us for a couple of years back then. Damn he's old. xD

She was a Doberman, for those of you wondering.

I drew her back when I first joined dA, so I thought I'd take a stab at drawing her again. :3

The photo ref I used was really old and blurry, so this doesn't have as much detail as I'd like. >:

Colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. Highlights done with white acrylic paint.

Have you seen pics of our current foster/possible adoption pup? Kiwi is sooooo cute! If she ends up staying, I'll need to bribe you into making a piece of her too!

Right now her and my daughter are curled up on the couch watching TV. "Dangerous breed" my ass! Same with Dobes. Pittys, Rotties, and Dobes can be some of the BEST family dogs. Kiwi loooooves 'her' kid so much, I don't think we CAN separate her from Dea.

Yes, and she's gorgeous!

It's ridiculous! I've interacted with every single one of those breeds and they were ALL wonderful and sweet dogs.

Oh it's beautiful hun!
The detailing is amazing - I know the troubles with working from blurry photos, and you managed to make this look fantastic (but you make everything look wonderful so, it's a given )

They're quite hard, aren't they? I get a LOT of low-quality photos for outside commission work, and augh. It's difficult.

Yeh it's very hard! I'm working on three boxers just now, and because they all look nearly identicle it's hard to destinguish who is who >.< Not to mention their faces are so dark there is very little detail to pick out -_-;
But never the less, makes us put more effort into them

She (the Molly in the picture) looks like she was a cool dog, I'm sorry you had to say goodbye... ahk I hate using euphemisms, but I feel bad otherwise

Aww she looks so swert I can see why you miss her...she's gorgeous Lovely job on this I love all of the warm colours you included in this piece they really do gives this pic a warm and friendly glow :3 and the shading looks so smooth and detailled as well and the subtle fur texture looks so neat as well lovely job on the finer details like on the highlighting on her nose X3 and on her eyes too ^_^ you really captured a lot of nice emotion in her face and eyes...beautiful picture

:3 Yeah. She wasn't too happy when we got Alex, though. She hated cats. Alex didn't like her much, either. Though, they'd sleep next to each other on the couch, like they were the best of friends.
