Your choice to mimic Loser is perfect. Not only is it such a cute design that deserves another appearance in the game, but it also creates a cute little textual gag: Mimic's history calls him a "copycat" and he's literally copying the most catlike alien in the game.

I absolutely love these crossovers, both the obvious ones and the subtle ones. Keep 'em coming!

My favourite of these "Subtle Crossover's" is from the Bully's alien sheet. Hanging from his belt and shields and things are numerous skulls. Looking closely you find that these are a Human skull, and Reserve Skull, a Grudge skull and a Fido skull.

Your choice to mimic Loser is fantastic. Not only is Loser such a cute design that's worthy of getting another appearance in the game, but there's a nice little text gag, too: Mimic's alien history calls him a "copycat" and he's literally copying the most catlike alien in the game.

Cool!
I have one question if you don't mind: when you draw projects for game companies like Fantasy Flight, do they tell you exactly what they want or do you have more or less open arms.

For example: when were you making aliens for CE are they specific aboutr their appearence or is it all up to you?

Thanks!

-It varies. For Cosmic they usually give a description of what the Alien does and a little description of what they want it to look of like. Other projects are very specific and are sometimes an exact scene from a book.

Example for Mimic:
The alien copies the habits, clothing, and mannerisms of those around it. Pick a base set alien, dress this critter up like that alien and pose it similarly, but make it somewhat ridiculous as a result, like a scrawny little alien dressed up like the Spiff, struggling to hold its weapon.

I chose to go with base aliens that I created and tried to come up with ones that were funny. You can see the other sketches I submitted.

Thanks for this little interesting insight in gaming industry and your creative process, but most of all, thank you for your time.
