Description Bagi was created by the great Osamu Tezuka in 1984, and is often considerd like the 'mother' of Furries in Japan,

I discovered the masterpice 'Bagi, the monster of Mighty Nature' two days ago ( thanks Youtube!),
then I noticed some funny similitudes between this anime and my favorite videogame character...

Maybe that Capcom unconsciously take inspiration from it...

^w^

I saw an amv with a bunch of shows and movies and Bagi was the one that caught my eye the most out of them, I watched the movie and was hopelessly captivated by it, I just didn't like the ending. I just think Ryosuke and Bagi should have ended up together and have lot's of babies! XD
There was a pic, some one made where they were doing it and Bagi was pregnant! Is that the one you are referring too? Because that one is perfect!

Baka Ryosuke! why being so obsessed of killing his childhood neko-friend?
yeah, at a point I did'nt understant why He wanted to advenge his mother so hardly, it's a nonsense! ... this person don't seem to love Him, she is a mad scientist that left him when he was a child for doing her personnal business, eventualy she don't care about him anymore... The end is a little bit disapointing I agree, but  at least Bagi isn't really dead ^w^

I see what picture you mean, is it one from the artist 'Kemonolove'? ( @ E621.net) , my preference is for Dr.Comet ones ( just type 'Bagi' in Gelbooru) the expressions are very intense and passionate!  but the arts are even beter if you read the text associed to theses pictures ( available on the English versions of the doc 's "Kemono Island" CD 1 or 2, I don't have the source right now so U 'll have to search by yourself ^^ )

-spoiler :-
... basically Bagi and Ryosuke live together peacefully in the nature and do love each-others. In this fic, Bagi falls in heat and Ryosuke smells it, they both do want to mate, however Bagi refuses because she is woried about being pregnant,  she finally succomb to her feelings and eventually ...  U can imagine the rest XD
the text trully enhance the graphics... it's very descriptive ^^ I really recommand you  to have a look to these CD somedays;

Yeah, Ryosuke was very stupid, I would have run away with Bagi and mated with her! XD

I believe so, I haven't seen it in a while.
I really would love to see that where would you suggest i start looking? Google or another website?

I get a look on the net , but I didn't found them... since Megaupload and Filescrop are close I can't found anything , the pictures are easy to found everywhere,
I have a save of them, but not currently with me, I can post you a copy of the texts in few days if you wish?

I sent You a note^^ unfortunatly only one CD with bagi was actuallywrite in English, I used an online translator for the rest... the result isn't perfect ( Ryosuke name was strangely tranlated with "the water caltrop" XD ) but this is sufficient for understanding the stories;

UI always loved the anime Bagi for 16 years since i was 14 and has been one of my fave animes since i obtained a fansub tape at one of my city's conventions and even made a DVD-R copy in 2002.

Such a unique and inspirational anime, i can see why they got ideas from for Darkstalkers.

Both girls are hotties and i adored them since junior high.

Really? I 'm glad You appreciated it!

And I agree,the story is clever but some scenes get really strong messages,especially for a small childrens cartoon...
If liked this movie, I 'hotly' recommand You "Phoenix the bird of fire (Hi no Tori)", from Osamu Tezuka again, which is monumental too!

Oh i didn't know that O.O! Yeah capcom do get inspired so much CX

I find it great i mean i know is hard to come up ocs but if u get inspired by ur fav characters so much and change different of their effect then it's good.

Plus i hate it when ppl call it ripoff which is not!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

felifan In reply to z0mbiraptor [2010-03-24 00:02:55 +0000 UTC]

Or maybe that Felicia is partly a tribute to the creator of modern Manga...

Capcom were use to put some references in theirs works, for exemple the official 'Birtday' of Felicia is 1967, the year of the publcation of the poem ' the curse of the cat woman' by Edward Field
