I love this work, generally people do Conan in the desert or in the hotter climates and so tan that he looks Indian, but he was from the North country and pale with blue eyes and jet black hair.

Well, the painting makes perfect sense.
Conan was born in the freezing mountains of Cimmeria.
So naturally he use to the extreme cold.

Great works this one! The anatomy of both the man and the horse is quite perfect.
Awesome coloring too, I really like the contrast between the warmth of the bronze-tanned skin of Conan and the coldness of the background, looks like Conan is really alive.
