I love the colors on the left. and the right one has great tonal contrast.
only thing is the boarder line between the shots; the shot sit great together but they don't combine "right", u know? maybe flipping the sides or doing something to merge them better will improve your piece.
that being said, I really like what you did here.

hmm I already put the two together pixel by pixel, not using the 1px white or black borders I usually use cause they sat so peacefully together as they were. I tried it the other way around, but it didn't look as good to me. I now see somehow see it as an image with three elements using hte 'border' thing on the left as third element which pushes the other two back together a bit.

i think i couldn't find the 3d image resulting from the other two.. maybe i don't have enough references.. ilike the composition and i really want to know what you're tryn' to say...

hmm taking the risk of disappointing you, but usually using two pictures together I go very strongly by visual concepts. so maybe the third dimension is the visual interaction between the two and not so much a story in the classic sense
