This is gorgeous- I'm quite fond of Baron Samedi myself! Your patience on drawing the border is something to be admired, that's a massive amount of detail!

*o* I'm obsessing over vodou in Haiti right now. Reading "Mama Lola" in class, I've particularly grown fond of Papa Ghede. I LOVE this self-portrait! Great work!! The detailing is phenomenal as well.

This is one of the best drawings I've eveer seen. I was actually plaining on drawing a picture of Samedi almost in that same pose.

i never knew that about Baron Samedi(I am a wight wolf geek and loved the clan samedi ) I am rather ignorant of hation voodoo or voodoo at all but it makes sense that he would be real cense all of wight wolfs characters were based off of real mythology

Stoogies stink! The right top and bottom left hand corners would look awesome in a tattoo design. You looks so much better in a top hat then I do.

really fantastic piece. really really fantastic. i love it. could you tell me, how big is it? if i had to guess, i would say 6x9ish? also, what kind of sketchbook is it? who makes it? the effect it gives the piece is spectacular.

i got the sketchbook at Barnes and Nobles, i think it was made in Thailand, it had a paper and cardboard cover with a green paisley on it, but i re-covered it. the paper and book are not the greatest drawing surfaces, and i wouldn't necessarily seek it out for a sketchbook except that i like the look of it. it is about 6x9, though i haven't got it right at hand to say exactly.
