Isabela is FUCKING AWESOME.
Easily my favourite DA2 character, a saving grace in a game that was not close to DAO's benchmark.

a little of both really. i like when she's talking to fenris about wounding himself in order to constantly look like he's in pain. "did you hit your head on a low beam? stub your toe? step on something sharp?"

I did enjoy the game but the thing is I know they could have done SO much better. It was such a big step back from DAO.
My biggest flaw is that your NPCs can't change weapon types, for some reason Warriors are completely incompetent and incapable of using missile weapons too. Why can't Isabela use a bow? You don't even have to let her have any bloody abilities for it but when fighting a dragon? I want her to be able to survive it and being able to use a bow would really REALLY help there...

i thought the battle system was a heck of a lot better though. a lot more exciting compared to the slow battle system of dao. not to mention things just ran a lot smoother. graphics, loading... i really liked it.

What platform did you play it on? Playing it on the PC, the battle system itself had changed very little. It was a little flashier which was unnecessary, the spawns on enemies were annoying and stupid with a group. AI was even stupider and the tactics were woeful. Er, nothing ran smoother for me, DA2 actually has graphics issues where it slows down consistently for stupid reasons. They have come out and said they have problems and haven't fixed it...

oh i played on ps3 and it ran fantasticly. everything just worked for me.

Yeah it didn't work with directx 11 properly, (XBox and PS3 both use DirectX 9, I am told), they tell those of us who would be using directx 11 to use directx9 for the moment.
