Description yaas fanart time!

these series were like a breath of fresh air, honestly.
although 10 episodes were not enough for the story, in my opinion.

i demand 10 seasons and a movie.

actually this was drawn randomly - i simply needed to relax and draw something, so yah

He is adorable as always, leaves are a nice touch

Love the series so much which is why it must die and never be revisited to be bastardized in any other way. Does that make sense? It's so complete and perfect I'm scared of anything touching it.

thanksss!
welp, i get what you mean - and i totally agree, although i still have this feeling that it was ended in a bit of a rush. like, they had such a fresh and original story with characters that could become even more complex - but everything ended too soon. when i speak about 10 seasons i literally mean it - because the plot idea could allow the show to stay interesting for a looong time and invent new, additional story lines, like, c'mon. the endless forest which is inhabited by mysterious creature-monster with a lot of weird villages and locals? i see so many great opportunities to develop the story.

BUT. i still understand that the idea was to make a miniseries animation, and it has a lot of special charm to that and yes - by the way it ended i totally agree that would be okay to chop off hands of the men who would try to stretch it into something longer and more, erm, generalized for mass audience.
but.. i need more of this. MOAR.

sorry for this random rant aah :u

Haha, no problem, I understand. The concept is still untapped, there is so much to develop in terms of characters and plot. I am just very wary of it going terribly wrong. I think that says something about the industry when I get anxious about them exploiting a perfectly good idea. If it could be handled as well as Gravity Falls I would be completely satisfied; they understand that the story comes first and the notoriety (and $) comes after.

I too would love MOAR! I'll probably end up buying the DVD for the extras

Yis, I am as wary as you are about this sort of thing, sequels and all sorts of extensions are super tricky, since it is easy to go astray. The thing is - if the story is good and well shaped and it is clear that people who work on project are sincere about it and they do what they love and this affection displays on the show - then the notoriety and money will come naturally. Of course the financial support from a cool studio like CN plays a great deal here, but eh. I want to believe that it is still possible to produce something with passion in the first place.

Let's just pray for more cool mini-series.
