Description
Straight-man side characters from kids cartoons that aired on rival networks (cartoon network; nickelodeon) that have to deal with a job that stresses them out (Benson managing the park; Squidward being a cashier at the krusty krab).
Both have to deal with two goof-balls that they don't hate personally but are annoyed by the way they act (Mordecai & Rigby; Spongebob & Patrick).
Both have a rival that are usually successful & extremely egoistical (Gene; Squilliam Fancyson)
While Squidward wants to be a successful musician (a clarinet player specifically) Benson himself was a successful musician (being the drummer for a famous band called Hair to the throne).
Objectively overhated matchup reward goes to this one, but I stil prefer Eustaceward & Bencole tbh.
