Description
Saiunkoku Monogatari - Flower of the cherry treeMaya - a shogun of a country behind the ocean, one of the main advisor of the emperor. Honestly I would never wanted to be in her skin - her emperor wants to gain control over Saiunkoku and her role is to plan the whole assassination. How it comes out - I don't know yet...
Blossom series is created to show my original characters (mostly female) in already existing worlds (books, manga, films and so on). Only these characters belong to me so please remember about it. They are existing in my imagination and I decided to show them up.
About A4 paper, lineart, coloured pencils (yay!)
At last I uploaded it! This is my fist of many characters I thought of while watching/reading. I really enjoyed Colourcloud Palace for ... the costumes
The action is rather slow and the series are very sweet but the whole world shown is great - and for it Maya was born

frankly speaking it's hard to say what pencils I use - just have a big box of coloured pencils which I got on various occasions since childhood - and those were the times when certain famous companies just didn't exist for normal kids
so I could say I use archaeological pencils obtained from drawers' excavations

random pencils are just the best! you'll never know what you'll find
that's true some companies pencils seem better than the others but apart from a quicker effect with less effort I just don't see any difference

Parents don't approve
I'm in college, and they are a bit strict about appearance at times

This is a very beautiful scene. The flowers in the background are a very nice touch.
The combination of colours on Maya's dress is excellent. The way you highlighted the hair makes it look very realistic.
