Sketched this on a tiny bit of paper on Tuesday night, drew it up on an A4 page and inked and coloured it at various points during the day today.One thing that would make me very happy in Sonic Generations is the Doomsday Zone, with both Super Sonics. Oh god I would squee so hard ;_; β₯
Had some issues colouring Classic Super Sonic here, I did him a bit darker than I'd intended to, but otherwise I think it came out fine.
Sparkles and power flares, it's OVER 9,000- *shot*
The line weighting isn't great, but hey, it's a bit of fun
Fact: this is currently my desktop :3
Another fact: Start whining that I gave retro Super green eyes, and I will ignore you ^_^

This is actually the second version of the background. Originally it was also coloured in pencil, but people requested I change it to something darker so that the Sonics could stand out more, so I gave it a shot and this was the final version.
As for the slight difference in colouting on the Sonics, that's intentional, as, with their regular blue selves, modern Sonic and modern Super Sonic are a darker shade than their classic counterparts.

WOW! You drew this traditionally? Great job! I made a similar picture on my page. It isn't bad, but I find more flexibility with my hand drawing without an art tablet. Any advice for making traditional art come out like this?

Hmm. Well first I have to repeat what most people would say: practice lots! I cant exactly explain my method for drawing, it's pretty difficult as I do it subconsiously from a lot of practice
I'd work on concentrating on your lines first, make them work the way you want, then start using tutorials as a guide for perspective, foreshortening, line weighting.
For the colouring, I use different tutorials for different media. I work mainly in crayola pencils and letraset promarkers for traditional (this piece was done in pencil
Also, experiment. I practice drawing in pen before I work in pencil, for example. Different people practice differently, so just keep practicing, and you'll find what works for you ^_^

No, no. Thank you. I kinda understand making a drawing look how you want before finishing it. I'm a little surprised you use Crayola. I don't find that those pencils work well unless I'm doing something wrong.
I saw a book that goes into immense detail about drawing once. I should probably check it out. In the meantime, I'll experiment with some traditional work before going to draw out my Generations comic. Haha! Thanks again, buddy.

hahaha, I've always used crayolas as I cant afford fancier pencils! And there's not really a wrong method in art

Hmm? What, regular Sonic? Because the sprite looked cuter with black eyes, probably. Super Sonic had green eyes in Sonic 3&K, probably either a colour pallette error or a reference to DragonBall, I was never quite sure on that one XD
