I have to wonder... if Hanar are physically inept for combat then how the heck did they taught the first drell kids to become assassins and elite combat operatives? They don't really trade with other species so I guess that scratches the idea of hiring mercenaries and they live mostly underwater, the worst place for you to shoot guns... or even breath without special equipment. They brought in thousands of Drell from their homeworld but were all of them combat experts or something? Because I would have assumed that most of them were civilians with little to no knowledge of battle tactics, just survival.

When Thane told the story of how the Hanar wanted him to become an assassin I always thought of them wearing mafia suits.

Yeah really.
Can you imagine? Being told at 6 years old that you were going to be trained as an assassin, and going to be killing other people for money for the rest of your life? gods, I can't even imagine what I would have thought about that at that age. Wouldn't have understood it, let alone gone along with it.
