Recently I was so inspired by nigh-fate's waterfalls sceneries... And I truly regret that there aren't too many good stocks of waterfalls. To be honest, I'm not really pleased with how this one turned out, but well.... I would like to do something better next time, so please, don't be afraid of criticise if you don't like something about this one. Guidelines are something important for me.edit: Sorry for puddling your boxes again, but I decided to redo some shadows and colours. Sorry if you don't like green

The green softens the whole image were as the original was very sharp from foreground to
background (a blue hue to it)
Being in mind its your ART not mine
so work on what makes you happy
Also as I said once before, mine is not a true graphics setup monitor wise so what you see is probably different to what it looks like on mine
so I have to factor that in to my comments
The castle and that plateau are the focal point I suppose
so if it was me I probably lighten that a just a tad more
and perhaps get a little more contrast of light and dark in it with the castle and the plateau.
but yes the castle and plateau are now more the focal point then in the other
The over all tone seems to work better with the green version, excellent
the clouds are darker and more background the foreground is darker too so its the mid ground you eyes should be heading (drawn) towards
Anyway like I said, its only my thoughts and I am no expert on how to do art.
(far from it)
Both versions are very very good thought

I like it a lot actually
Sure it could use a little more work, as its a little cast darkly over the landscape
more light and shadow (I think) to get more depth and distance in it
perhaps too warming the castle (warm colours,or hue) area to enhance its a forgotten place to the colder look of the landscape
but over all I love the theme of it

Maybe not your best but still very good as is

you work on something but its just not coming out how you want it to
So thats when its time to leave it for awhile and come back to it later with fresh eyes and hopefully something will twig on how best to achieve the look your after

I also tried green colours, not sure if you like them, but hopefully that yes 
And the method with "fresh eyes" is the best ever. But with it I might redo everything for ages ^^
And finding stocks is sometimes disappointing. That's one of the worst thing, when you've got some ideas and visions about your work and just can't find anything fitting.
