I'm glad to see there's SOMBODY out there that shares one of my fantasies (perhaps)
But this is a dangerous path. Once you commit yourself to replicating the beauty and elegance of Shoujo-ai you musn't shy from it or hesitate to put your very soul into it!
I would like to know what you used to create this. (Hand-drawn, program, ect.) This is primarily because you have only scratched the very TIP of the iceberg with this. I am also a bit unsure about how they are approaching each other in the picture. (Though that's more of a personal opinion so ignore it)
I wish it smoother, softer but sharper, I demand it's full potential unleashed!!!1!!11!

Dont know about the shared fantasies part,
(if I draw fantasies they are alot smuttyer than this and lokated elsewere)
this was more or less a random pairing... well, wasn't that many women to choose from eather.
I always start with doodling with pencil on paper. I seldom have any idea what it will look like in the end, so the drawings tend to end up messy and full of somewhat erased smudges.
Then I scan it and redraw a cleaner version in Photoshop 5.0 ... add shadows, lights and colors in random order.
Backgrounds are mostly improvised and drawn entirely in photoshop, I often try a few different ones before i settle for anything.
This picture had other people in the background/around the sides at first, but they were left out and I put up a wall instead of showing the whole room they originally were in.
