As I write this I am laying alone,Wishing with all my heart you were here with me.
Without you I feel numb,
Nothing has any meaning.
There is no fun in jetting off and exploring the world,
If I have to leave you behind.
You are my drug, and I don’t care if I’m addicted
I want as much of you as I can have.
I lie awake tossing and turning,
Wondering if you are doing the same.
Love makes the heart grow fonder,
But I love you so much already; I just need to be with you.
My heart beats fast every time I try and convince myself we are together,
Only to slow in disappointment when my daydreaming stops.
My brain ceaselessly replays memories of us together,
Taunting me with the fact I must wait to see you again.
Logic tells me it’s only time, it will pass,
Yet my heart screams that it wants you now.
Then when I hold you again,
It is the greatest feeling in the world,
And nothing could bring me down.
