Description Propped this pillow up, and carefully got it stand on its own. I looked at it, and it looked at me. Drawn with charcoal on bristol (not exactly the best combo, but it works, you can smear forever).

I can almost see eyes and a mouth. Your pillow has an attitude problem staring at people like that

The texture of your markings is wonderful! Try to work on making the object you are drawing have some space - objects aren't defined by lines on their outsides, but by edges that are lighter or darker in value than what is behind them.

This has a great sense of shape and form as is though! Very nice work.

maybe a bit too dark on the bottom left, but overall great

Looks great~ the shading and the folds, they all look very real. I love how the pillow is propped up. Just something a little different.

I'm envious of people who have the patience to sketch any sort of object in one sitting.

a pillow seems like such a random thing to draw and it came out amazing- but, what provoked you to draw it?

Just practicing with cloth and form, trying to get better at understanding wrinkles and folds.

I dont know why but the pillow seems all innocent and adorable, like a puppy asking for food.

There's something clever and amusing about this. Whatever it is, it made me smile. I think the photo-flash (I'm guessing - it doesn't look scanned to me) really ads to the shading.
